Our somatic-based therapies emphasise the mind-body connection, proven to enhance well-being and support trauma recovery. By integrating social work, counselling, art, animal, and nature-based therapies, we create an environment that fosters post-traumatic growth and recovery.

Social Work

Life can bring unique challenges often causing clients to feel overwhelmed, stuck or disoriented. We provide a safe space where clients will be nurtured, empowered, treated with dignity and justice, where support is offered to complete complex forms, referrals or life goals.

Diverse Settings

Services can be offered via zoom in the comfort of your home, at our counselling rooms, at the paddock with the horses or just outside in nature.

Groups and Professional Supervision

One on One Professional Supervision

Strengthen your practice with complex case consultation, practice reflection and skill development for both professional Social Workers and Counsellors. Specialising in Child Protection, Family Counselling and Intimate Partner Violence, providing a nurturing non-judgemental space to unpack professional challenges and debrief in safety.

Group Supervision

To connect with other professional Social Workers and Counsellors out in nature with horses. Uncover the power of somatic exploration and deep reflection within a small group setting. Offered in partnership with Tracey Johnson from MAJ Counselling.

For survivors of Intimate Partner Violence, offering a welcoming safe space with other women and horses to heal, reflect and recover.

Offering a Safe space to connect with other women and their children to explore, nature, spend time with horses and to laugh and feel connected.

With almost two decades of experience in child protection, family violence, and family counselling, Lee Marshall brings deep knowledge, skill and expertise to guide your recovery journey.

Lee’s unique practice framework sets her apart from other practitioners, with a genuine desire to support recovery and empower survivors through somatic nature based experiential therapies.

A person centred practitioner, committed and driven to nurturing your journey of healing and recovery, to reconnect with your true, authentic self to find inner peace and healing. Mental Health Support Work

Dean Marshall

With over two decades of experience in supporting vulnerable people, Dean possesses extensive skills and expertise, particularly in addressing both immediate and long-term needs. As a compassionate and respectful support worker, Dean emphasises self-determination and empowerment through a person-centred and strengths-based approach.

Dean's experience in remote communities across the Northern Territory has fostered a deep respect for Aboriginal people, their culture, and the unique challenges they face. This experience equips him well to work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people and their families.

What sets Dean apart is his consistency, reliability, and compassionate, personal approach to individual support work. Particularly his committed to addressing the unique needs and challenges of vulnerable youth and individuals with mental health.

As a professional supervisor Lee Marshall is a dedicated support to social workers and counsellors. With an Advanced Supervision certification with the AASW and experience as a workplace supervisor in Child Protection and Family Counselling settings, Lee offer’s support with complex case consultation, practice reflection and skill development.

Lee has an in-depth understanding and experience in navigating government and statutory organisations while still maintaining social work practice standards. As an AASW member Lee is well versed in the AASW Code of Ethics and Practice Standards.
As an educator and researcher, Lee brings strong theoretical knowledge and skill, keeping you up to date with the most relevant Social Work research, theory and practice wisdom. Strongly committed to somatic-based therapies, working in nature, and understanding ethical practice sets her apart. Lee’s toolkit of excellent strategies, drawn from lived experience, research, and professional development, ensures she can support practitioners to survive and thrive.

Dedicated to guiding practice frameworks and skill development, Lee provides a safe and nurturing space for reflection, learning, and connection. Having navigated burnout and vicarious trauma, Lee is dedicated to building and strengthening resilience, self-awareness, health, and wellbeing, ultimately enhancing your practice knowledge framework, connection and skills.

RESTORE

Partnering with Tracey Johnson from MAJ Counselling and Mel Spittall from MJS Equine to deliver our RESTORE program.

Rebuild Empowerment Safely Through Outdoor Relational Equine (Restore) Program is designed specifically for women survivors of intimate partner violence to rebuild their lives with the support of our beautiful horses, professional counsellors, equine specialists and survivors.

RESTORE supports survivors in coming out of isolation, feeling empowered, learning to trust again, regulating their nervous system, and building healthy relationships with themselves and others.
Generously supported and sponsored by Broken to Brilliant, an Australian registered not-for-profit charity established by domestic violence survivors to mentor other survivors to re-establish successful lives.

Broken to Brilliant support survivors who have already established safely, and are out of crisis by providing services and programs to empower, support, assist and give hope to survivors in their journey to create a new chapter in their lives.

Their focus is on survivors’ journey of recovery and rebuilding their lives.

HEART Program

Experience Healing and Reconnection with the HEART Program.

Generously sponsored and supported by Broken to Brilliant, the Heart program (Healing Equine Art Resilience Therapy) Program, is a transformative experience tailored for families impacted by domestic and family violence.

This one-day program creates a shared space for connection with nature, horses and other survivors.

What to Expect

Joining Broken to Brilliant for the HEART program you'll engage in a unique blend of equine therapy and art therapy program, carefully created to foster healing and reconnection.

As you walk alongside our gentle horses and immerse yourself in the therapeutic power of art, you'll embark on a path of self-discovery and reconnection.

Program Highlights

Equine Therapy

Interact with our equine companions to cultivate trust, confidence, and emotional well-being. Equine therapy is effective in helping individuals process trauma, reconnect and build resilience.

Art Therapy

Tap into your creativity through guided art exercises. These exercises allow you to express and explore your emotions in a safe and supportive environment. Art therapy can promote emotional healing and self-awareness, empowering individuals to navigate difficult experiences.

Nature Based Therapy

Emerse yourself in nature in the beautiful Tallebudgera Valley, surrounded by stunning natural beauty, birds, the tranquil breeze in the trees and the distant babbling of the creek. Bringing a sense of calmness, grounding and connection with nature.

Who Can Participate

The HEART Program is open to individuals who have experienced domestic and family violence aged 5 years and older. Participants of all ages can benefit from this holistic approach to healing and resilience-building.

What to Bring

Please remember to wear closed-in shoes for your safety. If you don't have any, kindly let us know in advance. Additionally, wearing a hat is recommended for sun protection.
